چکیده
Aim: To observe sensitivity patterns of urinary tract infections and the micro-organisms causing them in patients presenting with symptoms. Methodology: A sample 206 complaints lower symptoms ranging between age group 20 to 85 years was included study. This a retrospective study that carried out departments nephrology at Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), Islamabad, from January 2019 2020. Urine samples were collected sterile containers processed. Culture analysis based on investigative testing out. CLED medium used sub-culture colonies get pure growth micro-organisms. The Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion process employed find susceptibility antibiotic isolated colonies. The bacterial measured after incubation compliance clinical laboratory standards institute (CLSI) guidelines. Results: Escherichia Coli detected 77 (84.6%) among 91 positive urine cultures; Klebsiella species found 7 (7.7%); Enterococcus present 6 (6.6%) Pseudomonas 1 patient (1.1%). Maximum efficacy observed Imipenem Fosfomycin (80.5%) followed by Nitrofurantoin (75.3%). All cultures resistant Amoxicillin. Conclusion: Our shows, be most effective drugs treatment UTIs. E coli remains common causative organism this disease increase drug resistance uropathogens are significant concern.Communities may benefit implementation health education prevent sharing similar abuse.
